What Loves “Got” to Do with It

It was my late sister, Dr. Teresa Sievers, who introduced me to the work of internationally renowned Japanese scientist, Dr. Masaru Emoto. In his book, “The Hidden Messages in Water” Dr. Emoto proves how our thoughts, words and feelings influence a drop of water.
Taking two ice crystals from severely polluted water, Dr. Emoto blesses one of the crystals, but not the other. The results are astounding. When viewed through a microscope, the crystal that was not blessed looks like a diseased cell. But the one he blessed looks like a brilliant diamond. He repeated this process along with variations of the same idea. Some crystals would be labeled with the word love and another hate, or beautiful and ugly. The results were the same. The crystals labeled with love-based intentions shone like brilliant diamonds, while the crystals labeled with fear-based words looked like unhealthy cells.

For my sister Teresa, Emoto’s work underscored what she was she had been telling her patients. As a board certified medical doctor, Teresa made a brave and unconventional leap to energy medicine. She worked tirelessly in her short life to educate people that disease was the manifestation of unreleased negative emotions, and not a mandate prescribed by our genetics.
For me, Emoto’s experiment confirmed for me that everything is consciousness and that science and mysticism were actually one in the same. Later it became the foundational in the work I do.
Positive thoughts may create a feeling of well-being, but since we operate from our subconscious thoughts 95% of the day, the impact is limited. But when we align our subconscious with our conscious wishes and desires, that’s a game-changer.
